Police seek help to locate missing senior from NE Calgary

Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing senior who was last seen leaving his northeast Calgary home.

According to Calgary Police, 71-year-old Joginder was last seen in the northeast community of Taradale on Tuesday.

After tracing his movements and speaking with witnesses, investigators believe he travelled on foot east of Calgary, toward the Conrich area.

Police say Joginder was last spotted walking along Township Road 252 near Range Road 282 at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officers say the senior suffers from a medical condition, raising concerns for his well-being.

At this time, investigators say there is nothing to suggest foul play is involved.

Joginder is described as 5’6” tall and about 154 pounds, with brown eyes, grey hair and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing a blue and white jacket, mittens and a grey turban.

Officers have conducted searches near Conrich and are asking residents living east of Calgary near Township Road 252 and Range Road 282 to check their properties, including yards, garages and outbuildings.

They ask anyone with information about Joginder to call them at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
