A man is dead following an accident at an industrial site in southeast Calgary on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to a steel fabricator business near 44 Street and 76 Avenue SE just after 2:30 p.m. for reports of an accident involving a forklift.
Investigators say a load of pipes came loose and fatally injured a man in his 50s.
The investigation is ongoing.
April 28 marked the day of mourning in Alberta to remember people who died at work in the past year.
Last year, 144 people died on the job in the province.
