Police are looking for two cars after gunfire between the moving vehicles struck a home and a parked vehicle in southwest Calgary last week.
Calgary police say the shooting happened around 2:05 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, near Silverado Drive and Silverado Plains Link SW in the community of Silverado.
It is alleged that someone in one vehicle fired shots at the other. Investigators say the targeted vehicle was hit at least once before both vehicles fled the area.
During the exchange, a stray bullet pierced the front window of a home on Silverado Drive SW. Another struck the windshield of an unoccupied parked vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
After interviewing witnesses and reviewing security footage, police are now trying to identify both the suspect vehicle and the vehicle that was shot at.
Officers are seeking dashcam or security camera footage from the area of Silverado Drive, Silverado Plains Link and Silverado Plains Close SW between 1:30 and 2:15 a.m. on May 26.
Police are also out with descriptions of the vehicles involved:
- Victim vehicle – Small, dark-coloured hatchback with a burnt-out front driver-side headlight, silver rims, tinted rear windows, possible damage to the driver-side or rear window
- Suspect vehicle: Small, black four-door car with dark-tinted windows
