One man has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries after being stabbed on a downtown Calgary pedestrian bridge.

Police say it happed just after noon Wednesday at the George C. King Bridge near Memorial Drive NE.

The bridge spans the Bow River just northeast of downtown, connecting East Village and Bridgeland.

The condition of the victim is not known at this point.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing as police work to determine what happened and who was involved.
