Calgary police are looking for three youths who reportedly assaulted, harassed, and later shot at a victim multiple times with a BB gun in late January.
They say it happened when three youths in a white Honda Civic drove up to a convenience store on the corner of 17 Avenue SE and 47 Street at around 4 a.m. on Jan. 25. Police say they exited and approached the victim, who was standing near the store.
One of the three allegedly struck the victim on the head while the others “yelled and taunted him.”
After running off, investigators say the victim tried to follow, but the three turned around and started chasing and yelling at him as well.
Then, one of the suspects whipped out what appeared to be a BB gun and shot in the direction of the victim five times before heading back to their car and fleeing the scene. The injuries sustained by the victim are unclear at this time.
A security guard saw it happen on CCTV and reported it, officers say.
Meanwhile, police are asking for help after being unable to identify the suspects, all described as being between 17 and 20 years old and with black hair.
Two of them have medium builds, with one of them seen wearing black pants and red and white shoes, and the other wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood, grey sweatpants, and black sneakers with a white design.
The third has a slim build, and was seen wearing a black Moose Knuckles jacket, black pants and black shoes.
