The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Homicide Unit is investigating after a woman was found dead Wednesday night inside a southwest home.
Investigators say officers attended the scene near 17 Avenue and 9A Street SW around 7:15 p.m.
When they got to the home, a woman was discovered dead inside.
Police say the circumstances surrounding her death are now under investigation.
One person was taken into custody at the scene for questioning.
The investigation into the death is ongoing, and there is no risk to the public, police say.
Further information on the case is expected Friday after an autopsy is completed.
