Police are investigating a crash over the weekend that left a passenger with life-altering injuries.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Nose Hill Drive and 87 Street NW around 3:40 p.m. Sunday for reports of a crash.
Calgary police (CPS) say a white 2018 Nissan Murano with a driver and one passenger was heading east on Nose Hill toward the intersection, while a white 1998 Dodge Dakota with a driver and two passengers was heading west.
The Dodge tried to turn left onto 87 Street when it was struck by the oncoming Nissan, according to CPS.
The passenger of the Nissan was rushed to hospital with serious, life-altering injuries. All other people involved in the crash suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Police do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash. The investigation into the cause is ongoing.
