Police have charged two more people in connection with a deadly home invasion that happened in northwest Calgary more than a year ago.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Braden Crescent NW in the community of Brentwood around 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2024 for reports of a break-in.

Officers arrived to find one person dead and two other people hurt.

Following an autopsy, the deceased victim was identified as 53-year-old John Wayne Davis.

Earlier this month, police arrested two men in connection with the incident and charged them each with manslaughter, unlawful confinement, robbery, break and enter and two counts of aggravated assault.

Calgary police now say they arrested and charged two more Calgary residents with the same six offences — 42-year-old Ryo Allan Nelson was arrested on Tuesday and 31-year-old Alexandra Faith Doman was arrested on Wednesday.

The pair are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

“Our detectives have remained committed to this investigation and have continued to gather information and evidence leading to four individuals being charged,” says Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson in a statement. “We never give up on cases, and we continue to work towards providing answers and justice to victim’s families.”
