Woman punched fellow bank patron in head unprovoked, fled scene: Calgary police

Police are still looking for a woman they believe assaulted a stranger in a downtown Calgary bank last summer.

Investigators say around 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, they began receiving reports of a woman who was hurt after being assaulted by another woman inside a Scotiabank on 4 Street SE.

According to police, the suspect punched the woman in the right side of her head from behind, unprovoked.

The woman was left with minor injuries.

Police say the suspect fled on foot as bank security tried to find her.

She is described as a woman in her early 30s, about five feet tall, with a medium build and blonde hair. At the time, she was wearing black shorts, a black top, black shoes, and was carrying a black bag.
