A Calgary rideshare driver has been pulled off the road after police say they failed roadside alcohol tests during a traffic stop last week.
Calgary police say officers stopped a minivan on Wednesday after witnessing an illegal U‑turn at Rangeview Boulevard and Magnolia Street SE.
During the stop, officers noted signs of impairment and conducted two alcohol screening tests. The driver allegedly failed both.
Open alcohol was also found inside the vehicle.
The driver was en route to pick up a customer, according to police.
The driver’s licence was immediately suspended, and the minivan seized and towed. Impaired‑driving sanctions were issued.
The driver has been removed from rideshare activities pending review.
